I can definitely relate. Having those few words handy in a foreign language can be a gift and a curse, people are even more disappointed once they realize that's all you know! Happened to me all the time too ahah

I just looked up Duolingo stories, it looks great! They haven't introduced that feature for Japanese yet but I hope they will!
